So it’s been a new year for a couple of weeks now and like every start of the year, commitments, reflections, and new goals become a focused priority. We look back at accomplishments and failure vowing to make the next year, or next chapter of our lives that is, the most epic of all years and looking forward to that “this is it” moment of our lives.
Some of us want good health, financial breakthrough, a developing business, and even hopeful for a spouse this year. It’s part of our make-up as spiritual beings living human lives. We long for more. Now for this here, I’m speaking to those sincere. Those whose desire is for God and for what he has placed in our hearts.
But somehow, we just haven’t seen that “this is it” moment yet.
Wherever you are in your life, God wants us to view what we have (whether it is much or modestly little) with the right perspective – our possessions are a gift from God. Although they are not the source of joy, they are a reason to rejoice because every good thing comes from God. Therefore, we should focus more on the Giver than the gift.
God knew you, as he knew Jeremiah, long before you were born or even conceived. He thought about you and planned for you. When you feel discouraged or inadequate, remember that God has always thought of you as valuable and that he has a purpose in mind for you.
“I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” – Jeremiah 1:5 NLT)
God’s ability to direct our lives well is infinitely beyond our ability. Sometimes we are afraid of God’s power and God’s plans because we know his power would easily crush us if he used it against us. Don’t be afraid to let God correct your plans. He will give you wisdom if you are willing.
Despite challenges, you’ve come so far. Thank God for keeping you and showing His faithfulness.
He’s working behind the scenes and during this time, you must continue to pray and trust in Him. I know it hurts. I know you’re tired. But God also knows and He promises that He will NEVER leave you. Trust Him!
You have greatness in you! Whatever your journey, struggle or pain, allow God to soften your heart and release your cares and troubles upon Him. He loves you unconditionally and wants to build a relationship with you by the name He’s created and set apart for you
